Being in production since 1993, the Ford Mondeo is a large family car. The word 'Mondeo' comes from the latin word, 'mundus', meaning world. It was marketed as a world car and has always been well-known for the amount of space it has inside the cabin - ideal for a family car. Hill start assist also means you can actually take your foot off the brake when starting on a hill and have the car brake for you until you start.

Designed with the family in mind, the fuel consumption is extremely economical and the servicing costs cheap. Body repairs are relatively easy and bring the insurance down too. In terms of safety, there are airbags in lots of locations, and adaptive cruise control and anti-lock braking systems work to lessen the impact of a collision.
