Hyundai caters for a wide range of needs. At the top end, the Hyundai Coupe is exactly what it says on the tin, with 2.0 litre and V6 engines providing a powerful run down the open road. They have a plentiful range of 4x4s, with the entry-level Tucson best suited to urban MPV driving, the popular Santa Fe providing a smooth and quiet performance and the large SUV crossover, the Terracan (or Veracruz).
For the economic in mind, the Getz provides all the thrills and spills of a city car at a very reasonable price tag. For those with one eye on the petrol costs, keep a lookout for the i30 - some diesel models run up an average of 60 mpg.
The majority of Hyundai's EuroNCAP test scores have resulted in four stars awarded for adult safety. Of particular note, though, family car Hyundai Sonata scored four stars for child passenger safety, too.
Even basic models of the i30 come with plenty of gadgetry inside as standard. You'll be able to find similarly complete levels of kit and interior comfort on the family-friendly SUV and MPV models, as well as plenty of clever toys inside the Coupe range.
Basic models of hatchback have high engine sizes - the Accent boasts a mean 1.4 litre under the bonnet.
