The LTI TXII is an evolution of the world famous TXI, being produced from 2002-2006 in Coventry, England. The TXII was the first LTI taxi to use a Ford engine and was improved in many ways from the original TX model, by making the materials used tougher and using premium protection materials to ensure the vehicle is rigid and has a long service life.
The TXII also featured huge improvements to the brakes and interior safety to make the carriage of passengers safer. The asbestos free brakes used are similar to those found on top of the range sports cars, making the TXII handling responsive and great to drive. The integrated wheelchair ramp was also modified to make it easier to get wheelchair customers into the vehicle.
