Goodwood unveils line-up for summer festival

Motorists looking for nearly new cars at car supermarkets may be interested to hear the line-up for the Goodwood Festival of Speed this July.
Over 60 drivers and riders have announced they will be attending the event, which runs from July 1st – 3rd, including the Indianapolis 500, a selection of Indy 500 champions to celebrate the centenary of The Greatest Spectacle In Racing.
In addition to this, nine Formula One (F1) teams have confirmed their attendance at the festival, including Ferrari, McLaren-Mercedes, Red Bull, Lotus-Renault, Mercedes GP, and Williams-Cosworth and Team Lotus.
People interested in used car sales will also be p[leased to hear that there will be a number of past Grand Prix winners at the festival, such as Sir Stirling Moss, John Surtees, Jochen Mass and Peter Gethin.
And rally driver Andreas Mikkelsen will be on the Forest Rally Stage alongside other rallying greats who will meet with the motors that made them famous, including RaunoAaltonen, Jimmy McRae, Hannu Mikkola and Russell Brookes.
Goodwood launched its motor sport season earlier this year, with Jaguar announcing it would be celebrating two anniversaries at the festival - 50 years of the E-type, as well as the 60th anniversary since Jaguar first won at the Le Mans 24 Hours race.
