Unfortunately the car had some additional damage which wasn’t previously mentioned or supplied as photos.
The car had not been valeted to a decent standard, it smelt of dogs and was grubby inside the cup holders and glove box.
The rear parcel shelf was filthy.
The rear windscreen wiper is split and half of it is hanging off.

Despite difficult circumstances, Direct Cars made choosing our car easy. After browsing the website, choosing the vehicle we wanted it was plain sailing. On collection the car was clean and paperwork was minimal.

Very strange buying a car in lockdown, but with the help from Michael and Dave I had my old car valued, found a car, paid a deposit, went through finance and pickd my new car up in less than a week, great service.
It’s not very often that people have to down Grade your car but I lost my daughter and have to move back to Sheffield to help my son in law with my grandkids to thanks to Dave he made my life a little more bearable many thanks for your help

Bought a car online in February 2021 was a slightly apprehensive about not being able to view the car on site due to covid 19 but went ahead with the purchase found a slight fault with it phoned them and they sorted out within a few days very pleased with the car and the service from direct car's.

Bought a Vauxhall Insignia for a reasonable price, could probably have haggled better as the car had been in stock for sometime but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Presentation of vehicle when collected was excellent, everything done as expected. Disappointments, I thought I had been told that 20 litres of fuel would be put in - they weren't - probably 10 were. Perhaps I misheard Nick the sales man? The tyres are down on tread but only an MOT advisory at 3.0mm. Tyre pressures are all over the place so need to get them sorted and all 3 wiper blades badly smear the windows when on so I need to get a new set. I think it has been 'serviced' hurriedly and a few corners cut.

We had previously bought a car from here a few years ago and they were still the same friendly , helpful people . No rushing or pressure selling just at your own pace viewing. Will definitely come back in the future.
Brilliant no hassle service, I arrived at the showroom and let them know i was there to just have a look. Was informed of how things work and left to my own devises to look around. Any information about the cars was in the windscreens and there was no staff members wondering around trying to catch your eye or anything. The gentleman i dealt with for the sale of my car was down to earth, straight talking and declared everything to us we needed to know, we didn't feel anything was hidden and no pressure for a sale. A great experience and I would certainly consider returning for future 2nd hand cars.

I bought my car without even seeing it, and altHough it is, nearly 4 years old, I bought it on tHe Trusting of Mick and Dave. I had it trailered To my home in Bristol. When it arrived, I was staggered at how superbly it had been prepared - amazing.

Excellent experience from the first call to collecting my car a few days later its was an easy and quick the was cleaned to a high standard as was the whole of the prep work carried out
Due to the Covid Virus viewing was a little restricted but the whole situation was exellently handled by the staff, so we were able to make a good decision. The web site was very usefull as we could make inital judgments and narrow down our choices. A few more photos of the cars -interiors etc. would have been useful.

We were very pleased with how fast and easy things went but there was one minor thing that took the 5th star away... we drove our car off the lot and home Friday, on Saturday it wouldn’t start, we had to pay Rac to get it started which cost us 180, then Sunday it wouldn’t start again to which Rac said it was a bad battery and they would tow us on Monday to have it fixed so we were out 180 pounds and left without a car all weekend due to direct cars mechanics only being in shop Monday-Friday to replace the battery when the car was supposed to have been checked over before we picked it up we couldn’t understand how the battery being in such bad condition was overlooked during the inspection.

We had been to direct cars on several occasions looking what was on offer, we like the fact that we were left to look around and nobody bothered us. On the day we saw the car that took our fancy we spoke to our sales man we were given the key so we could have a good look at the car get the feel of it this lead to us booking in for a test drive the next day and this was all done without any problems and we felt safe throughout our experience.

Happy when I bought the car and Dave was very helpful but the issues I’ve had have not been rectified by the service department A key battery was changed to “sort” the key light problem; this has done nothing. The dash light turned up to sort the fact that the light was not coming on automatically The lady on the service desk was extremely rude

I have refrained from making an early comment in relation to Direct Cars. I now have had time to reflect, on collecting the car I was disappointed with the standard of cleanliness both inside and out, and presentation. I seemed that it was too much trouble to clean everything properly. My wife and felt the need to use a packet of hand wiped to clean the best we could inside the car before we travelled back to York.
I was promised that the log book would be taken to the local Post Office and the car ownership be notified to DVLA, it transpired no one could be bothered to do this either in the fortnight up to me collecting the car or on the day of collection. I travelled from York and had to go and find the local Post Office before I could start my return journey.
I was subsequently contacted by email to say the car needed servicing, I replied that I understood it had already been serviced at the point of sale. I have received no response from yourself except a text message still stating the service was due on the car????
I expected that as a car purchaser I would be treated a little better, as a consequence I have to report the service as poor.

It is disappointing to read you were unhappy with the cleanliness of the vehicle. Had you raised this before leaving the site we would have rectified this to your satisfaction immediately.
Regarding taxing your vehicle, most of the time customers can simply tax their vehicle online using the reference number from the V5C/2. However, for any vehicles that have previously been tax exempt (like ex-Motability vehicles) they need to be done at the Post Office. We are not currently doing any trips to the Post Office due to COVID-19, which was explained at point of sale.
The car service reminder was due to an incorrect date being generated. The vehicle was serviced before collection at the service date has now been corrected.

On reflection I think the trade in price could have been better and your inclusive warrenty for a 3 year old car was a bit mean at only 30 days.

Despite the COVID situation, the sales rep Dave Milnes was very helpful with the sale and made sure the car was ready within a matter of days which meant a lot to us as we were going on holiday a few days later. The handbook was missing but a new copy was ordered and was ready 2-3 days after the sale. Roof rails had been ordered and put on by the time we picked the car up. Dave was not pushy at all about trying to get us to purchase extras though we did take out a 2yr extended warranty
